Tucson alumni and their families, especially kids and grandkids, are invited to two activities on Saturday, May 18th. You are welcome to attend either or both events:
Franklin Auto Museum tour and/or
Lunch at Rosa's Mexican Restaurant

1936 Adobe dwelling, pictured here, and an extensive collection of Franklin automobiles, spread across several buildings. Plus, there is a fully equipped repair shop for these beautiful classic cars., The cars were built from 1904 to 1934, and all had advanced air cooled engines designed by a Cornell engineering grad. The collection includes an early open four-seat carriage, an early truck, and numerous roadsters, family sedans, and limos. At a comfortable pace, the tour takes 1 1/2 hours.
This is an old-fashioned establishment. No credit cards for admission or at the gift shop. Admission costs: Adults $10, seniors 62+ $8, children $5, children under 12 - Free. The museum appreciates exact amounts and any donations.
DIRECTIONS: It is a little bit off the beaten path. Unless you have an off-road vehicle, we recommend that do you turn south onto Vine Ave. from Prince Ave. between Mountain and Campbell. The first block is paved. You will go around a traffic circle and continue south on Vine which becomes a gravel road. Entrance to the museum is on the left in the first block at 3420 N Vine directly opposite a sign indicating an upcoming stop sign. NOTE: The facility is not handicap accessible; exterior surfaces are gravel, and there are some steps inside.

After, the tour, you can also join the group for lunch at 1:00 PM at Rosa''s Mexican Restaurant.
While you will pay separately at each event, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you RSVP; at the museum, they will need to know in advance how many guides to have available for tours; at Rosa's we will need to know how many tables to hold for attendees.
IMPORTANT: Please RSVP separately for each event. If you are going to both, be sure to RSVP twice.
