As affiliates of The Phoenix Ivy Council, we are happy to share the following events. There are two events, the first on January 22nd, and the second on February 6th.
Special Performance by the internationally renowned Dover Quartet
Come hear the internationally renowned Dover Quartet make a special appearance in Phoenix on Saturday, February 6, 2016. The Phoenix Ivy Council is partnering with the Phoenix Chamber Music Society to host a free social event providing a chance to meet members of the Dover Quartet from 7 pm to 7:45 pm prior to the concert that will start at 8 pm. The Dover Quartet's popularity has sky-rocketed following a stunning sweep of all four prizes in the Banff International String Quartet Competition, becoming one of the most in-demand string quartet ensembles in the world. The Dover Quartet recently commenced a three-year residency at the Northwestern University Bienen School of Music.
For the concert, the string quartet will play pieces from three composers: Mozart Quartet in B-flat, K. 458, Dutilleux Ansi la Nuit and Beethoven Quartet in F Major, Op. 59 No.1.

Harvard Night at the Symphony
On Friday evening, January 22, 2016 meet the new Music Director of The Phoenix Symphony for a night of fellowship and Beethoven (Symphony #7, which has been described by Richard Wagner as '... the Apotheosis of the Dance itself: it is Dance in its highest aspect, the loftiest deed of bodily motion, incorporated into an ideal mold of tone.' Truly an amazing piece of music! There will also be a free pre-concert cocktail reception at Symphony Hall, providing a chance with meet Maestro Munoz and the Symphony's CEO, Jim Ward. Discounted tickets will be made available to members of the Phoenix Ivy Council and Harvard Club using the promo code -"HARVARD2016".
