Special Performance by the Grammy Award winning Pacifica Quartet
Come hear the internationally renowned Pacifica Quartet make a special appearance in Phoenix on Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Camelback Bible Church auditorium. Over the past two decades, the Pacifica Quartet has gained international stature as one of the finest chamber ensembles, including winning a Grammy for Best Chamber Music Performance. The Phoenix Ivy Council is partnering with the Phoenix Chamber Music Society to host a social event providing a chance for our alumni to meet members of the Pacifica Quartet from 6:45 pm to 7:10 pm prior to the concert that will start at 7:30 pm. The Pacifica Quartet serve as faculty members as well as the quartet-in-residence at the University of Indiana and previously had the pleasure of serving as resident performing artists at the University of Chicago. The evening's program includes the following pieces: Haydn Quartet in G Major; Opus 76, No.1; Shostakovich Quartet No. 3; and Ravel Quartet in F Major.
