A Presentation on the Storied History of Notre Dame-Penn Football Games

Please join us and learn about the games between the schools including: Frank Riepl’s Record 108-yd kickoff return (click here to view the impressive video!); personalities from both teams football in the 1950’s; key differences between that era and the present day; and historical questions about the two schools’ football programs from the 1950s to the present.
Featuring special guest speakers:
- Dan Rottenberg- 1964 Graduate of the University of Pennsylvania; renowned Philadelphia author, editor, and journalist, who has authored twelve books, including Fight On, Pennsylvania, a history of Penn football. Mr. Rottenberg played two seasons on the Penn football team as a kicker.
- Bill Lewis- a former assistant Notre Dame football coach. Bill Lewis made a career of coaching football for 44 years, including 3 years in NCAA Division II (FCS), 32 years in NCAA Division I (FBS), and 9 seasons with the Miami Dolphins of the NFL. He joined the coaching staff at Notre Dame in 2005 with Charlie Weis, then moved into the Notre Dame Athletic Department in 2008 and worked there until his retirement in 2012. He currently lives in the South Bend, Indiana area.
