Did You Know . . .

that by participating in the Penn Alumni Interview Program, you have the opportunity to inform undergraduate applicants in your community about Penn, while providing Penn Admissions with better information about prospective students?  Many applicants cite their alumni interview as an essential factor contributing to their decision to attend the University of Pennsylvania.  As a participant in Penn Alumni Regional Clubs you are particularly situated to be effective Penn ambassadors, and we would love to have you join us in this effort to support future Quakers. If you or any of your members are interested in becoming an alumni interviewer, you may register at  http://www.alumni.upenn.edu/interviews/

Several years ago Penn Dean of Admissions, Eric Furda, set the goal of offering interviews to 100% of our applicants.  At the time, we were only able to interview 50% of our applicants. Last year we reached over 80% of Penn applicants, and we can get closer to that goal this year . . . but we need your help.  Read below, and see yet another reason we can expect a jump in students choosing to apply to Penn.

The 2015 rankings for the best colleges nationwide, based on undergraduate programs, were released on September 4, 2014, by College Factual, a data-driven college choice resource.

The takeaway? Research institutions fill the top 10 seats and University of Pennsylvania – Philadelphia leads the pack.

"These rankings are based on a pure and distinct focus on data," says Bill Phelan, co-founder and CEO of College Factual, which aims to help students make better career and college decisions. "We don't count previous reputations … providing a more unbiased view."
